You can help Trailer Estates CERT

Become a CERT member: CERT members hold regular meetings and hold mock drills to prepare for any type of disaster. In addition they help residents prepare for hurricanes and assist fire, police, utilities and the American Red Cross when a disaster of any proportion hits the community. They are the first to respond and circulate the community to assess property damage and harm to physical health. Members are assigned a zone and will report to a central command in Trailer Estates. Central command will request assistance through the Emergency Operations Center of Manatee County. Become a CERT member by filing a Membership Application. Not a CERT member, you can help: In times of emergencies you can assist CERT in numerous ways. CERT needs HAM radio operators, scribes and those who want to assist in calming those who have been injured. After a disaster see the team leader for assignment. There will be a command center set up in the Trailer Estates community. Look for the two CERT mobile trailers, one set up as a HAM communications center and the other established as a triage location for injured residents.

It is our hope we never have to mobilize but we will be there in times of emergency.
